Endorphins mask pain.

Hunters in Paleolithic times obviously had to track prey for long periods of time. They worked extremely hard to acquire protein. Hunters had a free ticket to the Tough Mudder and every CrossFit gym in the hood. The hood was the gym and the restaurant. They endured injuries. And they kept going until the food was delivered safely to the village. Why? Because it feels good. They got a hit of endorphins from the physical demands of hunting. Today this is a selfish drug. Its all about feeling good. You know what? You deserve it. Come down tomorrow morning at 9am and get your hit.
