213memorialday

To Celebrate Memorial Day, we'll be doing a Hero WOD at 10am at the gym.

"Badger" 3 rounds for time. -95 pound Squat clean, 30 reps -30 Pull-ups -Run 800 meters

In honor of Navy Chief Petty Officer Mark Carter, 27, of Virginia Beach, VA who was killed in Iraq 11 December 2007

Personally, I'd like to do something to honestly commemorate Memorial Day instead of just take a day off work. Our active duty service personnel, including Fire, EMT, Police, and Armed Services don't get a day off. And the Heroes these WOD's are named after never get a day off again.

Yes, the workouts are hard. ( We can modify). So is being away from your family, living in a dirt-hole, or rolling out of bed at 3am because some drunk idiot walked through a glass patio door and needs your medical attention.

Let's all do something a bit hard on Monday in remembrance of all the service people that are paying the price for us every day, and those of us that have paid the ultimate price.
